Automextrix automation of awning design and cutting

Autometrix Inc. of Grass Valley, Calif., announced the development of a turnkey solution to facilitate the automation of awning design and cutting for awning shops large and small. The package includes Eclipse 3D, Autometrix’s exclusive awning design software. Eclipse 3D is used to create dome, waterfall and traditional awnings with features for stripe alignment and adding custom valances. The 3D software exports a flattened pattern to the cutter reducing the total awning design and cut time to less than 10 minutes.

Autometrix offers three machine models, which provide varying cut speeds and throughput depending upon the individual needs of the client. The package includes a complete vacuum table with vacuum pump for material hold and delivers plotting, notching and cutting abilities. The machines are designed for cutting Sunbrella, marine canvas, vinyl and many other similar fabrics.

The ‘Awning Solution’ package comes with: on-site installation of the vacuum table and vacuum pump, easy-pull material rack, blade holders and blades, Eclipse 3D software and PatternSmith machine control software, software training, as well as a 2-year factory warranty.

At the completion of the machine’s installation, Autometrix will assigns a personal pattern coach for 12 months, providing unlimited assistance in awning design and software use for the new customer.

The package is offered at affordable monthly lease rates through Falcon Financial.
