Taction — The Art of Touching Experience event showroom, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the commercial interiors category of the 2008 International Achievement Awards, was a 3-D example of how the sense of touch, the personalities of textiles and Superwide dye-sublimation printing interact and complement an interior space. The solution was comprised of several pieces that interacted with the attendee and the overall environment. Polydimensional architectural pieces offered a low-tech sensory exploration without high-tech additional costs. Each application created the ability to extend the user’s experience by involving the senses of sight and touch.
