Brooke Helm Duncan II, a former chairman of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), passed away Jan. 13, 2020, at the age of 95. Duncan served on IFAI’s board of directors from 1959-1973, served as chairman (then called president) from 1970-71, and was awarded Honored Life Member status in 1973. A New Orleans native whose father was the city’s first director of city planning, Duncan was a fighter pilot in WWII, earned his law degree from Tulane University, and managed several businesses, including Foster Awning Co., owned by his wife’s family. Duncan’s wife, Kitty Foster Duncan, died in 2005. Survivors include three sons, a daughter and eight grandchildren.
