Awning allows hotel guests to enjoy the weather

This dining area of the Edgewater Beach Hotel, Naples, Fla., has a prime beachfront location and allows guests to enjoy the weather and the view. The awning, which won an Award of Excellence in the commercial awnings category of the 2007 International Achievement Awards, wraps two angled walls with a 4.3m cantilevered projection, and the 11 awning trusses that comprise the frame are encased by a vinyl fabric cover with 5cm decorative stripe accents. The cover is made in two separate pieces for ease of installation. The top view of the awning has less projection than the underneath view, and all anchoring of both frame and cover is invisible.
