Elegant canopy helps set restaurant patio apart

This is a beautifully elegant patio canopy, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the commercial canopies category of the 2008 International Achievement Awards, for the terrace of the Zurra Restaurant in Miami, Fla. This is not a typical patio because it has many projections and features that make it unique, such as a round terrace area and a semicircular wall. The canopy’s perimeter has various projections and its design has been able to take all of the property’s variables and harmonize them into a canopy that sets this restaurant apart. The entire project is fabricated out of marine grade aluminum and is engineered to withstand a hurricane. Innovative construction methods were used to measure, design and fabricate the canopy so installation would be quick. The entire perimeter of the canopy also has roll-up curtains that are hidden in the design of the canopy and are easy to open in the event of inclement weather.
