Case Studies | September 1, 2009 | By:

FTL Solar, the leading manufacturer of lightweight, flexible power generating fabrics and structures integrated with thin film solar cells, recently unveiled the PromoMod, a line of 6.1m by 6.1m free-standing tension tent pavilions developed for the advertising, marketing and product placement industries.

PromoMod produces sufficient energy to power an array of devices, including computers, communications devices and lighting. It comes with a molded plastic, plug-and-play electronics/battery pack on wheels about the size of a piece of carry-on luggage.

FTL Solar is an independent spin-off of FTL Design Engineering Studio founded in 1977 by Todd Dalland. The company enjoys a 30-year leadership position in the manufacture of tensile structures and has been the world’s leading provider of flexible, photovoltaic fabrics since 1998.
