Following a 15-year successful run of its shade sculpture SUNAMI I™, Tensile Shade Products LLC has delivered SUNAMI II™, soon to be installed in Pierce’s Park, at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The distinctive curved frame and double curved canopy of SUNAMI I appears in a variety of locations across the country and in many colors. It can be found at Promenade Park in Boynton Beach, Fla., on the deck of a major cruise ship and on the green roof of one of the National Institutes of Health libraries in Bethesda, Md.
The original five-pointed SUNAMI I structure, designed in 1997 by G.H. Bruce LLC, measures 12 ft. deep by more than 16 ft. wide and stands 12 ft. high, while the SUNAMI II measures about 15 ft. deep by 21 ft. wide and more than 15 ft. high.
Tensile Shade Products LLC, exclusive distributors of the SUNAMI line, says SUNAMI III™ is in the works.
