WeatherMax awning fabric exclusive to Keyston Bros.

Looking to expand further into the awning market, Keyston Bros. worked with Safety Components to design a one-of-a-kind linen line of WeatherMax FR fabric. The line is available in Slate, Sandstone, Oyster, Chocolate and Black, with Terra Cotta currently in development.

“With the linen line, Keyston will target the fabric awning market,” said Dennis Bueker, VP of awning division, Keyston Bros. “We knew WeatherMax FR was a good fabric, and we wanted to offer something that the other suppliers didn’t have. The linen line has a texture finish, adding a richness to the fabric and setting this line apart from the original WeatherMax FR.”

WeatherMax FR is a solution-dyed, fire-retardant fabric designed for awnings, tents and other outdoor applications. It utilizes tightly woven SaturaMax yarns for dimensional stability and is guaranteed to retain its color for at least five years. Providing superior water resistance, WeatherMax FR has twice the strength and six times the abrasion resistance of acrylic fabrics.

In business since 1868, Keyston Bros. is a North American supplier of fabrics, vinyls, leathers and textiles to multiple markets, including automotive, marine and furniture upholstery supplies, as well as to the hospitality/contract, healthcare and fitness industries under its dedicated KB Contract division.
