Phifer expands SunTex 95 line

News | May 1, 2014 | By:

Ahead of the impending summer heat wave, Phifer Inc. added two hues to its new SunTex 95 exterior sun control product line. Chestnut and Sand will complement the current six neutral color options in this fabric collection designed for exterior roller shade applications. Made from vinyl-coated polyester, the basket weave SunTex 95 is thinner and lighter weight than traditional SunTex fabrics and is mildew and fade resistant.

With a 5 percent openness factor, SunTex 95 offers heat and glare control, stopping approximately 95 percent of the sun’s rays, lowering cooling demand and leading to less energy consumption.

SunTex 95 fabrics are infused with Microban® antimicrobial protection for an added level of defense against microbes that can damage the shades. Added during the manufacturing process, Microban protection works for the lifetime of the shade to inhibit the growth of stain-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.

SunTex 95 fabrics are certified to GREENGUARD standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage. The fabrics are available in 126-inch widths.
