Serge Ferrari acquires Plastitex, introduces new awning fabric

Soltis Proof VivoTM, from Serge Farrari North America, is a new printable awning fabric with a natural fiber woven appearance.

Serge Ferrari Group has acquired Plastitex, adding product lines and technical knowledge to the Serge Ferrari brand. Besides its expertise in new product design, Plastitex will provide extra capacity and additional manufacturing flexibility. Serge Ferrari Americas will offer a textile customization service that will enable customers to create unique color combinations and weave patterns and designs. Plastitex will continue to sell its colorful and elastic textiles under the Plastitex name.

In other news, Serge Ferrari North America, has introduced to the market Soltis Proof VivoTM, a printable awning fabric with a natural fiber woven appearance. This waterproof fabric is available in the United States exclusively through Trivantage.

Soltis Proof Vivo is available in 14 colors, including a new red “poppy” color. The material is phthalate free, GREENGUARD Gold certified for air quality, and fire retardant. Soltis Proof Vivo is recyclable at the end of its service life with the company’s exclusive Texyloop/ take back program.
