SEFAR VISION wins magazine award

News | August 1, 2014 | By:

SEFAR Architecture’s VISION fabric interlayer for glass won the 2014 Glass Magazine award for ‘Most Innovative Decorative Glass Product.’ To determine the winner, Glass Magazine submitted nominations to a panel of judges representing all segments of the glass and glazing industry.

SEFAR Architecture VISION designs can be created across the entire length of a glass wall partition, curtainwall, or even the expanse of a building’s exterior glass façade while providing a transparent aesthetic and clear views from the interior. The VISION interlayer can be digitally printed with any color, pattern, picture or design effect using vibrant, long-lasting UV-resistant inks.

Laminated within glass to create unique aesthetic design possibilities, SEFAR Architecture VISION delivers striking design and high function. The interlayer allows for an open canvas for designers to add color and designs to the exterior without it reading to the inside of the building, which is not possible with current on-glass printing solutions.

With its metal coatings, VISION improves the thermal insulating qualities for reducing solar heat gain and minimizing glare while allowing for ample light transmission. VISION materials can be printed on one or both sides of glass with the same or different colors to produce the desired effect.

As a fabric substrate, VISION reduces the weight requirements of a metal interlayer, allowing it to deliver the equivalent effect at a reduced cost.
