News | June 23, 2016 | By:

The Professional Awning Manufacturers Association (PAMA) is holding a student design challenge for the 2016 academic year. The program is intended to challenge students, working individually or in teams, to explore a variety of design issues related to the use of fabric in design.

Students are required to use fabric as a major component and design an awning (fixed or retractable), canopy or tension canopy for a public or commercial site. The site can be invented or pre-existing (resort/hotel, park, university, airport or sports facility).

Deadline: July 1, 2016.

Winners will be announced at IFAI Expo 2016 in Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 18–21.
