Sculpture compliments school landscape

This project, which won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the interior banners category of the 2008 International Achievement Awards, was designed to create a site-specific sculpture in the school concourse area that compliments the landscape seen from the glass wall windows of Hershey Private School, Hershey, Penn. Since the project was due to be in a space for years, not months or weeks, the Design Loft’s intent was to use texture as a critical and unique element in the design. The small space was a challenge due to numerous lights, sprinkler heads and vents in the ceiling, and this space had the added challenge of a very wide stairway. Architect and client were extremely pleased with the final project.
