Britespan opens distribution facility, launches new building series

Britespan Building Systems Inc., Wingham, Ontario, launched its seventh building series, the Rigid Beam building series, to the fabric building market. Britespan now offers a complete product line, engineering and manufacturing a wide lineup of building profiles, as well as a webbed truss building solution and an I-beam building solution.

The Rigid Beam series is an I-beam style truss building that is customizable and allows Britespan to build structures up to 300 feet wide, totally free-span. The new series also allows Britespan to engineer a number of custom elements, including sidewall heights up to 40 feet and eave heights up to 80 feet, custom eave sizes, and wider end and side entrances.

Additionally, Britespan moved its distribution facility from Lucknow, Ontario, to Wingham, Ontario, where its manufacturing facility is located. The move allows for better logistics and closer communication between manufacturing and shipping, improving efficiencies and better inventory control.

The new distribution facility is an 80-foot wide by 200-foot long Rigid Beam building series with a 14-foot eave.
